Learning to drive can be a difficult task for any adult. From the frustration of other drivers and traffic, to the anxiety of predicting the moves of other vehicles, to the many streams of information that require constant attention, it’s no wonder that driving simply isn’t for everyone.
I think self-care needs to be discussed a lot more and promoted a lot more. So no matter what your self-care is, whether it’s a hot lavender bath… which at times is perfect for me… Reading a book… Painting… Journaling… cleaning… Yes, some people even consider cleaning to be there self care! because it is something that they enjoy doing.
Let’s encourage each other to find that happy spot, that we feel comfortable in… And let that be our self-care! Encourage those around you, but most of all take some time for yourself… and do yourself a favor mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually and take care of yourself by doing self care!
While the point of the show was about actual physical cheating/stealing, it really did have me thinking a lot about what I need to do to add value to autistic adults lives… I am so adamant on helping people and truly helping them….. that sometimes I become so overwhelmed and my anxiety kicks in. I don’t want to cheat them out of help… If I can help!
Imagine if we all decided to plant the seeds of love… Of listening… Of compassion… Of understanding… How much better we would feel… How much better we would be… And how much more beautiful the world would be!
I challenge each of you.. every time you see a flower.. to think about where can YOU plant that seed of love, acceptance, understanding, compassion and listening.
